Sustainability

Respecting nature and supporting the community that makes our salt.

Harvested by hand

Every crystal is gathered by local families using techniques passed down for generations. The work is done by hand, with simple tools and the sun.

Made by the mountain and the sun

Salt water flows from a natural spring into the terraces, and the sun dries it into salt. It is unrefined and minimally processed.

Supporting the families of Maras

The pools are worked by families from the local community, many of whom have passed their pools down through generations, as ours did. We give back to the families of Maras.
